Ijebu Garri is one of the varieties of Garri in west Africa, it is also referred to as Ijebu Gari, Garri Ijebu or Gari Ijebu. Ijebu Garri is produced by the Yoruba people also referred to as part of the Oduduwa Kingdom now part of Nigeria. Garri or gari is made from dried grated cassava (manioc) flour, commonly known as Garri or Gari
It has a pleasantly sour taste, Ijebu Garri is great for soaking when you add cold water, some people prefer to add milk, sugar, groundnut, peanut or cashew nut to the Ijebu Garri for maximum enjoyment. It is quite refreshing especially during the summer season.
Ijebu Garri could also be used to prepare Ẹ̀bà when added to a bowl of boiled water.
Ẹ̀bà is a staple food mainly eaten in the West African sub-region, particularly in some parts of Ghana and Nigeria.
