Plantain Flour (Elubo Ogede) is use to prepare Ogede Àmàlà, which is one of Nigerian local indigenous food. It is native to the Yoruba tribe in the South-western parts of Nigeria. It is made out of sliced, cleaned, dried unripe plantain which is then blended into plantain flour, also called Elubo Ogede. Plantains are beige in colour however it will turn plantain brown when dried. This gives Plantain flour / Elubo Ogede/ Ogede Àmàlà its colour. Plantain flour (Elubo Ogede) Ogede Àmàlà is from Western Africa and eaten mostly by the Yoruba people in Nigeria.
